The engagement letter you sign at the time of onboarding gives us authority to liaise on your behalf which means we deal with the Inland Revenue Department and other government agencies so that you don’t have to.

For new business owners we can review and explain any information you have about a business or details of starting a new business. We then go through the ownership options, GST and other taxes, what your filing requirements are and the support the Embark team will provide. Once the purchase has settled, we run through accounting systems and how the administration side of the business will work. Ongoing support is there for day to day tasks in your accounting software along with filing anything with the IRD. We then get into our bread and butter with the annual accounts and tax planning for new businesses to ensure you understand your requirements.
Current business owners, we can review your situation and explain any terms or situations that might not to be clear to you. We like to streamline those tasks that you undertake regularly especially if you are using Xero, and have touch points during the year to highlight any seasonal effects your business might be going through. This is all on top of our 5 star service (just check out Google) when it comes to our compliance tasks.
Do you want a little bit more? Then let’s talk about doing some planning around your business, completing a forecast or cashflow to track against during the year with regular check ins to ensure everyone is being held accountable for the planning we have put in place. This is great for businesses that are looking to grow or change in the next few years, as having an independent person asking the questions you haven’t considered or sense checking what you are thinking is exactly what you need.
We operate on a monthly fee basis which means there are no surprises at year end. Our monthly packages are customised to suit the client, so you can do as little or as much of the work as you like.
